Our Client is looking for A Payroll Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the Payroll department in a variety of clerical duties, will also be responsible for data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have the capability to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk position offers the tremendous opportunity to work with an industry leader and company that offers a strong career growth trajectory. This position is based on midtown Manhattan and would be needed on a full-time basis.
Responsabilities
- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
- Train and instruct employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Be able to enter and audit union calculations via Excel as instructed
- Utilize the HRIS system to build and run custom reports
- Download/save reports as instructed and make them easily accessible by distributing them
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
- Assist in office efficiency by carrying out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Data entry into Excel and the HRIS payroll system
Required Qualifications
- HRIS system experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of payroll for over 500 employees
- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
- 3+ years of hands on experience at a large corporation in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
