The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Responsabilities
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Will be responsible to learn the entire payroll process and be a back-up for processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll as necessary.
- Performs benefits administration, employee change reporting, allocating the employees by department on the invoices and approving invoices for payment.
- Continues to develops and maintain all functions in ADP Workforce and ADP I_9 processing, ACA reporting.
- Affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
- Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS with a minimum of 2-3 years HR Systems/Coordinator related experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications – primarily Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with ADP a plus
- Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, analyze data and develop recommendations
- Exceptional attention to detail and data integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence all levels of staff
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt while managing competing priorities to produce quality deliverables and meet tight deadlines
- Successful candidates will exercise the utmost discretion while working with highly confidential information and will possess keen attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, the ability to execute under pressure, and a client-focused approach
